FMSC MobilePack

Thank you to our group of 26 volunteers, who gave up their Saturday morning on March 21 to pack over 31 boxes of meals for hungry children in Columbia.   This combined with the work of all other volunteers resulted in 179 total boxes.  These boxes contained 28,664 meals which will feed 106 kids for a year.  You make a difference for those in need!

Special Opportunity - Need For FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN Volunteers

Again this year, Incarnation Lutheran Church is hosting All Hand on Hope, a FMSC MobilePack, from April 21 through April 26.  MobilePack is meal packing done at a location other than a FMSC permanent site.  The process remains the same as at their Coon Rapids site.  Like last year, St Odilia has agreed to assist in recruiting volunteers for this event.
  
We have committed to participate as a group on three days of their event as follows:

• Thursday. April 23, 6:00 – 8:00 PM
• Friday April 24, 3:30 – 5:30 PM
• Saturday. April 25, 10:00 – Noon
  
  

Of course, you can choose to pack at any of their identified dates & times other than our three group dates chosen.  The location of the MobilePack at Incarnation Lutheran Church is 4880 Hodgson Road in Shoreview.

If you want to participate in this special opportunity, the registration process is the same as registering for a packing shift at the Coon Rapids permanent site.  (This is an additional opportunity to our already scheduled group packing dates at the Coon Rapids location – Wed, 4/22, & Tue, 5/19.)

You may register directly via their website (www.FMSC.org).  At their Home Page, select the Volunteer button at top right and then scroll down to “Looking for a Specific Group” (right side of screen).  Search by clicking on All Hands on Hope (if registering for the MobilePack) or Coon Rapids and entering our Group name: St Odilia. Then click ‘Join’ by the session date you wish to register for and enter your name.
